Transit T1/T2

Common Transit (T1 / T2) documentation across UK and EU

Transit procedures allow goods to move between countries under customs control without paying duties at each border. PCS prepares T1 (external transit — non-Union goods) and T2 (internal transit — Union goods) declarations for goods moving through the UK and the EU under the Common Transit Convention (CTC).

We also handle the corresponding GVMS pre-lodgement and Movement Reference Numbers (MRN), ensuring that hauliers and freight forwarders cross every border without delay. PCS holds the financial guarantees required to act as principal under the Convention.

How It Works

  1. 1Provide movement details and consignment information
  2. 2T1 or T2 declaration prepared, principal guarantee applied
  3. 3Movement Reference Number (MRN) issued
  4. 4Office of destination discharges — movement closed
